Providing meaning to a mass of unrelated needs, ideas, words and pictures - it is the designer’s job to select and fit this material together and make it interesting.

EXPERIENCES
within experiences

Currently living in Joshua Tree and pleased to be back with the Catalina Labs team working as Director of Product Experience for XperiencOps building a SaaS enterprise product for automated runbook solutions. I continue to work with my freelance clients Hubble IQ and House Hub.

Prior, I was back with the Spring Studio team at their new agency 17seconds working on projects as Lead UX for Morgan Stanley.

Prior to the pandemic, I worked as Senior Product Designer at Asurion for the ID8 Team integrating smart home data technology brought over from Catalina Labs after Asurion acquired them in January 2019. Before that, I was Lead Product Designer at Catalina Labs, a smart home/IoT data lab located in Palo Alto. I work on everything from existing product development and UX to conceptual designs incorporating augmented reality in mobile UI, voice and chat experiences in the home using Amazon Alexa/Firecube, and Android Things/TV to scan networks and devices to optimize the connected experience in the increasingly smarter home or office.

Previously, I was working as a Senior Player Experience designer at Scopely. I worked on the mobile RPG The Walking Dead: Road to Survival.

Before moving to Southern California, I was living in San Francisco and working at Spring Studio, a UX and design agency acquired by BBVA, and was working on mobile app UX and web conceptualizations for investment and home-buying products.

Before starting at Spring, I was lead UX at an independent gaming studio Ignited Artists, which was funded by SEGA. There, I was working on core game-loop flows, prototyping abilities and meta-game flows, and implementing UI assets in Unity.

Also in San Francisco, I did work with a startup called FlikStak helping to "cardify" the web and user content into useful and meaningful stacks. Before working with FlikStak, I was at Western Union Digital Ventures working on mobile web and app solutions for the oldest money transfer service in the world.

Prior to my move to California in 2013, I lived in Philadelphia for 10 years. Before I left, I was Senior UX Engineer at Oracle working exclusively in development for the Primavera Global Business Unit redesigning the next-generation of P6 project management enterprise software. In addition to designing functional and visual elements, I initiated the creation of a heavily documented and updated online style guide/repository encompassing all styled elements and their usages. This guide pairs elements with their design specifications, CSS class equivalents and javascript implementation to ensure branding and theming is applied in a cohesive manner across multiple products on all platforms built by different teams spread across the country and the world. This is what we now call a design system.

My past experience goes on and on. Please feel free to contact me for more information and work examples.
